We are pleased to announce the appointment of LaBrandon Tatum Jr. as the Director of Chip’s Helping Hand. Tatum joins us with a strong academic foundation, having earned a bachelor’s degree in health and nutrition from the University of North Alabama where he graduated with distinction. Tatum brings previous experiences in Patient Care Assisting, Nutrition Aide Assistance and collegiate sports coaching and strength training. As a Tuskegee Native Tatum grew up having strong family ties especially with his elders. From taking care of his late Great Grandfather to aiding in elderly care facilities Tatum has maintained a giving spirit. That spirit was definitely passed down from his father, the late LaBrandon Tatum Sr, who was involved in youth development as a daycare center director in the city of Tuskegee.
Prior to being appointed director of Chip’s Helping Hands, Tatum held key leadership positions as recruitment and retention coordinator for Rochester Community & Technical College while also being a pillar for the football team’s defensive coaching staff, where he earned a distinguished leadership award his first year on the staff. His vision and expertise will be instrumental in guiding Chip’s Helping Hand through its next phase of growth and proud innovation.
